This is my first read by this author and I loved it. Cake had me hooked immediately I loved everything about Jake and Casey they were totally meant to be together but would Jake's past allow that to happen?

Jake isn't your typical rock star he's a complete workaholic and portrayed as a recluse by the press but in reality he's been left tormented by a crime against him as a child. Whilst on a world tour he returns home to attend his brothers wedding and has no idea how his life is about to change.

Casey is a college student, she's a sassy young lady and has a tendency to blabber when she's nervous. As a bridesmaid at her friends wedding she's partnered with Jake and sparks soon start to fly.

Cake is a great story but is does deal with some difficult topics it will definitely have you on a emotional roller-coaster as you wait to see if Jake can work through his demons and finally find the happiness he deserves with Casey.
