Amazon/Goodreads Review Tour - The Revenge Plan by Linda Kage

Title: The Revenge Plan
Author: Linda Kage
Genre: Contemporary New Adult Romance
Release Date: April 29, 2019

After I caught my boyfriend cheating, I tried to be mature about it with an amicable split. But he took his retaliation too far, and I have officially had enough. No more Miss Nice Haven.
No one is allowed to lie to me, betray, embarrass, and devastate me, fill me with self-doubt, or put my future at risk, and expect to get away with it. He is going to feel my wrath.
Enter Wick Webster, his archenemy.
Nothing would provoke my ex more than to see me moving on with the one guy he hates most, so that’s exactly what I plan to do.
The only hitch in my brilliant scheme is Wick himself. He’s just gotta be all love-not-war and peace-is-the-only-way. He’s more concerned about helping me heal than seeking my sweet revenge.
And what the hell is it about his soothihg presence and yummy looks that calls to me until I forget how much pain I’m in? He’s making it awfully hard to use and abuse him for my malicious means. The damn guy is making me fall for him.

Nikki's 3.5 Star Review

As a new reader to Linda Kage when I went in to The Revenge Plan I had no idea what to expect, but this book was well written and had a great flow and was enjoyable.
Haven and Wick were really great characters and had a chemistry that made them perfect for each other.

When Haven finds her boyfriend cheating she runs and ends up bumping into his arch enemy Wick. He soon becomes her knight in shining armour but Haven has revenge on her mind and soon finds herself trying to rope Wick into her plans.

An enjoyable read and I look forward to reading more from Linda Kage in the future.

“You guys are totally off your rockers. I am not having sex with anyone just to get back at Topher. To me, that’d be like drinking poison and expecting him to die from it.”
Bentley gasped, affronted, and pressed a hand to her chest. “Sex isn’t poison.”
I rolled my eyes because SHE hadn’t been cheated on recently.
“Seriously,” Teagan went on. “Sex can be good for you. It’s actually the number one reliever in vaginal atrophy.”
I blinked. “In…what?”
“Inflammation, dryness, and thinning of the vaginal walls.”
“Huh?” I furrowed my brow, wondering how I’d landed myself in a sex-education class.
“You must massage the tissue down there, exercise it regularly and get the blood flowing so it remains healthy and elastic. Otherwise, it’s going to dry out like an unused rubber band and crumble apart.” She balled her hand into a fist as if wadding up something. “Just a brittle piece of hopelessness.”
Ouch.
Why did I suddenly want to wince and protectively cover my hoo-ha with both of my hands? Seriously, I’d just found an old rubber band last week. It had dried up and fallen to pieces as soon as I had picked it up.
Lord, I didn’t want my vagina to crumble apart like that.
But then Bella—bless her soul—rolled her eyes and muttered, “Oh, whatever. She doesn’t need a man to get the blood flowing down there. My faithful BOB has kept me more satisfied and elasticized than any human douche ever could.”
Teagan merely shrugged. “It’s more fun with a real penis though. Just saying.”
“Wow,” Lucy murmured, shaking her head. “JB must have some kind of magical cock to make you talk this way because, before him, you were all like, eww, men are so overrated. Sex is gross. Keep it away from me.”
Lifting her chin, Teagan sniffed proudly and rubbed her swollen belly. “He does. It even sparkles in the sunlight.”
“Ack,” I cried, covering my ears with my hands. “It is so impossible to think of JB that way. He’s like a cousin to me, T.”
“You know, you don’t actually have to have sex with anyone,” Bentley spoke up, making me glance at her in confusion. “You just have to make Topher believe you did.”
“Or…” Bella countered. “As much of a showboat as Topher is, the best way to get back at him would be to just move on and be happy. I have a feeling him seeing you moving on without him might drive him crazier than anything.”

Pre - Order Blitz - Benched by Elise Faber

This single dad hockey player plays to win... Benched by Elise Faber releases on June 16th!

Max Montgomery was at the height of his career, playing the best hockey of his life, and lucky enough to have a starting spot on a team that was actually a contender for the Cup. And one by one his friends were falling in love. Love. Now that was a dirty four-letter word if he’d ever heard one. Max had experienced love and all of its aftereffects and where had that gotten him? Lonely, living in an apartment, and paying alimony to a woman who’d left him at the merest sign of a hiccup in their marriage. His only bright spot was his son. Brayden had moved back in with him a few months ago, after his mother had taken off to God knew where. Max loved having him home, but with his son only seven and him on the road for forty-two games a year, they’d struggled. Still, they’d found a way to make it work. But then Brayden threw Max a completely new curve ball. He wanted Max to find a wife. Max had been there, done that, got the crappy T-shirt as a souvenir. No way would he make himself vulnerable like that again, no matter how much his son wanted it. A puppy was a perfectly viable alternative, right? At least that was what he’d been thinking until he met Angelica Shallows, sister to the team’s Physical Therapist guru, Mandy, and a brilliant engineer in her own right. She was gorgeous, smart, but had shadows in her eyes. Max knew all about shadows, knew they were meant as a sign for him to stay away. What was that about the best intentions paving the road to hell? Max may have wanted to stay away, may have wanted to abide the warning signs in Angie’s eyes, but— The real trouble began when found that he couldn’t do either of those things.

About the Author: Aside from writing romance, Elise's passions are chocolate, Star Wars, and hockey (the order depending on the day and how well her team -- the Sharks! -- are playing). She and her husband also play as much hockey as they can squeeze into their schedules, so much so that their typical date night is spent on the ice. Elise is the mom to two exuberant boys and is thoroughly addicted to Dancing With the Stars.

Blurb: The day I saw Sylvie West standing next to the bride, something moved in me I was certain had died.
I’d known her since she was a pain-in-the-rear kid, but she was my best friend’s cousin, and off limits.
He also told me he’d strangle me if I ever laid a hand on her.
When she downed tequila like water at the reception, and then danced on the table, all bets were off.
She was my kind of woman, and forbidden or not, I was going to make her mine.
Only when morning broke, I woke up to a different Sylvie—one who didn’t remember a single thing about the passion-filled night we’d shared.
Now, I had to prove I was the one who was meant for her.
After she put up one obstacle after another, the time had come to pull every trick out of my hat.
And Sylvie had no idea I was one tricky bastard.
But the last thing I expected was for her to turn the tables and play the last trick on me.

Nikki's 4 Star Review

I loved every single word of Evan and Sylvie's story. It was a little sad but also funny and sweet at the same time.

When Sylvie wakes up the morning after her cousin's wedding next to his hot and sexy best friend Evan she has little knowledge of how they ended up together. With Evan's help things quickly fall into place and its obvious for Evan it's not just a one off, if only Sylvie felt the same. Evan is about to have is work cut out if he's going to win Sylvie's heart.

A great page turner of a story and I'm looking forward to reading Piper's story next.

Excerpt: I was dabbing at my coffee stain when a knock sounded on the door. “Come on in, Grey.”
The door opened, and he walked in. “It’s not Grey.”
My head jerked up to see Evan standing there. “What are you doing here?”
“Sorry for the subterfuge, but I had to find a way to see you. You’re quite stubborn, you know.”
“So you lied?”
He shrugged. “With permission.”
I gawked at him. “What does that mean?”
“It means I spoke to Grey first. He said it was okay.”
“Oh, my God. You’re both conspiring against me.”
“Sweets, I only wanted to return something of yours and you gave me such a hard time of it, this was the only way I knew how.”
“What are you talking about?”
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a thong. Then the bastard dangled it in front of me. “Recognize this?”
Shit. It was mine. I went to snatch it, but he pulled it out of my reach. “Oh, no. It won’t be that easy. In order to get it back, you have to go to dinner with me.”
“What? That’s blackmail.”
“Not really. What will I do to you if you don’t go?”
He really couldn’t do anything.
“See, you get my point. We can go anywhere you’d like, as long as it’s a sit down dinner where they have a great wine list.”
“And if I choose not to go?”
He smirked. “That’s easy. I get to keep this.”
Then the asshole put it up to his nose and inhaled. “Ahh, my favorite scent.”

Amy's 5 Star Review

A fabulously heartbreaking read that shows love can be accomplished despite any imperfections and with Gabrielle and Carrie it felt doomed from the start, they never really got going and Carrie's family played a huge part in the demise of their relationship.

They both hold very different stories Gabrielle's is devastating and Carrie's is brutal but they're never far from each others thoughts and music plays a huge part for this couple and in some ways its the only thing that keeps Gabrielle alive and leads Carrie back to her love over time.

When I think of this book it reminds me of the Script song The Man Who Can't Be Moved it seems very fitting for this story and it shows love can conquer all!

C.D Reiss wrote a great cast of characters and I loved their story I wish we could have more of the couple they've totally captured my heart.

Excerpt:

After four years at USC, I knew how to survive. I went to the University Village mall, where Earl the security guard liked to hear me play. I needed to practice anyway. “Play that Stravinsky thing, would you?” I’d educated Earl in the ways of classical composers and he turned out to have a great ear. He always had a request. “You got it.” “Gonna miss your playing after you graduate,” he said as I set up my case. “I’ll miss the acoustics in here.” “Where you going?” he asked. “New York.” I drew the bow across the strings and made an adjustment. “Big Apple. You got a job there?” “Not yet. But that’s where the opportunities are.” He shook his head not as a negation, but with a rueful look back at youth. When I started playing the piece Earl liked, I wasn’t looking to fall in love. I wasn’t looking to get tied down. I hadn’t fallen in love since Babette, and that was fine. Making a name for myself as a musician would take up all my time. The acoustics in the front hall of University Village were outstanding. My eyes were closed as I played, listening for off tones and missed notes. I was in perfect flow. My fingers acted before my mind could correct, so my ears made adjustments. The conversations, the clattering food trays, the dim Muzak in the speakers were miles away. There was no reason for me to open my eyes, but I did, and that changed everything. She changed everything. Standing with her friend, red hair covering her face as she rooted around her bag, she looked up just as I saw her, as if my gaze had called out. USC is full of the children of actors, models, and athletes. My friend Danny said you couldn’t swing a dead cat without hitting something fuckable. But she wasn’t fuckable. Not exactly. She was more. Calling her beautiful illustrated the inadequacy of language. She was a melody. A perfect symphony. The final crescendo in a masterpiece written by a genius. Taking my eyes off her would be impossible. All the air in the room bent in her direction and emanated from her as if she owned it. And still, my fingers did their job, filling the room with music that had been written for her before she was born. She was impossible. Eternal. Divine. Nothing like her should exist anywhere but Olympus. With a little smile, she dropped a bill in my case and walked out with her friend, getting momentarily lost in the afternoon sun. I stopped playing to watch her go. “You got a day’s worth out of her,” Earl said from behind his podium. “Yeah,” I said, assuming he was talking about her looks. “You gonna get greedy and keep playing?” “Huh?” He pointed at my case with its dotting of loose change and a single, rolled up bill. I picked up the cash. Benjamin Franklin stared at me with a sly smile. That couldn’t be right. Even if it was, I couldn’t take it. Not from another student. Not from anyone who wasn’t Bill Gates. Looking out the glass doors, I saw her and her friend make their way to the crosswalk and wait for the light. “You okay?” Earl asked with a knowing smile. “Or did that pretty thing shake you?” “I’m shaken,” I said, grabbing the pen off his clipboard. I scrawled my number on the bill and handed back the pen. “Save my spot.” “Will do.” I dropped my violin in the case and snapped it shut, losing a spray of pennies and dimes, grabbed my bag and case, and ran after her.

About CD Reiss

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels. She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

Release Blitz - Hide Your Crazy by Lani Lynn Vale

I’m kind of a lady, but definitely more of a weirdo.

Hearing the woman at the table behind him say that to her friend should’ve turned Logan Gibbs off.

It doesn’t. In all honesty, it only makes him listen harder.

He’s had enough weird in his life to last a lifetime. The last thing his complicated life needs is a woman in it who has no clue what color you get when you mix yellow and blue together.

Yet, her obvious blonde moments aren’t enough to deter him. Nor is her lack of finger-painting skills.

I’m a cop, not a miracle worker.

Hearing the man in the group behind her say that should’ve had Katy Roberts running away as fast as her feet would carry her. Katy’s father’s a cop, and it’s hard enough to live her life with Daddy trying to dictate her every move. She needs another cop in her life like she needs yet another thing to go wrong.

To add onto that, she can’t find a job, has no love life to speak of, and has to be the oldest known virgin in Kilgore, Texas.

Yet, when she sees his painting—a painting that resembles a piece of the male anatomy more than the lighthouse they were supposed to be painting—she knows that she has to give him a chance.

The very last thing the two of them expect is for her father and his boss to force them to marry after an eensy-weensy accident. An accident that, surprisingly, both of them want.

Amy's 5 Star Review

Hide your Crazy was funny, heartwarming but also angsty especially for Logan who's lost everything to his ex-wife in their divorce and he's definitely not looking to hook-up for anything long term he loves his job as a Law Enforcement Officer and his dog and that's it!

Katy is a wonderful character but her confidence in men is broken after coming out of an abusive relationship and she isn't hoping on finding true-love so when she bumps into the incredibly hot Officer Gibbs she doesn't pretend to like him after he gives her a ticket but she doesn't mind admiring from afar! They don't even realise they're neighbours until an uncomfortable situation puts them together.

Both have major issues and neither are looking for a relationship but these to are completely drawn to each other you can't help but love their characters I could read Logan and Katy's story forever so prepare to have your heart melted by the couple.

Absolutely loved this new addition by Lani Lynn Vale she knows what her readers want everytime and delivers it in her own style.
