They’re is quite a big age gap between Callan and Madison which makes it even more forbidden.
It’s a very hot storyline between the two characters with Madison being a Senate’s daughter and Callan being a ruthless killer when they meet through a sex club Callan knows he has to have the forbidden even if his brothers warned him off, he needs to test Madison to see if she needs the dark as much as him, when things at home go bad for her and her future isn’t what she wants she realises her family and friends are all fakes it’s Callan's job to protect her but he knows he can’t offer her any sort of future, he’ll have his fill and leave her, but there’s just that invisible pull that he's never felt before.
When Madison’s life is put in danger theirs only one person who can save her but will it be too late or will he be her knight in shining armour!
I loved everything about this story to from the characters, the drama and the sexy scenes. It does contain some BDSM scenes and it does also have some self-harm to the story but that makes it feel a little more personal to Madison's character.
Dani Renè did a fabulous job with this story I felt gripped by it, dark reads is one of my favourite genres and she owned the story.
