A forbidden teacher/student romance where through tragedy comes love.
After Cam loses her dad in a tragic car accident and struggles with her scars and being treat differently by her friends and peers, she struggles with school life the only person she can relate to is her new swimming coach Mr. Andrew's who gets her to open up and sees past her scars and grief because he has his own battles.
They gradually get closer to each other and despite David knowing he's risking his career he just can't seem to pull away from Cam she's vulnerable and lonely and he's the only person that can bring a smile and brighten up Cam's days. He's a strong character and you can see why Cam is besotted by him. I love their chemistry even if my heart breaks at times for her, it's emotional but also captivating that you want to see their relationship and love bloom.
I've read a few of E.K Blair's books and enjoyed them all and this book is just as good as the rest.
