Review Blitz - The Muse Keeper by Janey Rosen

Synopsis

Freya is not the girls name, she is Betty

The man who calls her Freya-the giant of a man named Thane-is the man who took her. Before she was taken, Betty dwelled only on the shame of her past. She supposed that life could not get any worse, that she had experienced all the pain it was possible to feel and still breathe. She was 19 years old and a street girl. Streetwise. Or so she thought...then she was taken and now she knows what true pain is. What she doesn't know is why she craves it, and in the end if it will destroy her.

Fear, depravity, reverence and love- all these precious gifts will be bestowed on the one he calls Freya. So powerful is Thane that each flower he has plucked may blossom or wilt under his control. Each chosen one was selected for a purpose and taken to his compound where he may use them at his will but the most precious jewel of them all is Freya. This one is special. This one he must try not to crush.

Nikki's 5 Star Review

Freya is book 1 in Janey Rosen's new novella series, The Muse Keeper. Its a short read but draws ypu in straight away.
Betty or Freya as she will soon become known is down on her luck and working the streets.
Thane has been watching and wanting her for weeks and has now decided the time is right to take her and make her his. This is definetly not your typical romantic love story it's dark and will leave you desperate for more.

Synopsis

Sing little bird, sing a song of suffering.....

He loved her enough to lock her up- what kind of love was this?

Taken, stripped of her freewill and utterly deflowered by the man called Thane. He was her captor, a beast, all kinds of crazy...and completely unpredictable. He was the most dangerouse breed of man that Betty could have the misfortune of falling slave to. There was no hope for Betty, it was just a matter of time before Thane destroyed her...or would he? Could it be that her life was about to again take a monumental turn?

Thane didn't deny that he was insane, he'd been told this from a young enough age to know that madness was inherent within him. The only light in a world of darkness shone from his muses; Luna, Boy, Syn and now Freya, who used to be Betty until he took her. Been misunderstood and feared was a burden that he bore-a price to be paid in exchange for his love of Freya; he'd tolerate almost anything except ever been parted from her. All that remained to do was test her one more time....

Nikki's 5 Star Review

Book 2 in The Muse Keeper Series was amazing. Again its a short novella but definitely packs a punch with so much to reel you in you wont want to put it down till the end. Freya desperately wants to escape from Thane's clutch's but Thane thinks that Freya will fall in love with him and never want to leave, will either of them get what they really want?
Again this book deals with the darker issues and is intended strictly for readers over the age of 18.

***Please note these are bite sized chunks of twisted naughtiness. They are not full lenght novels and they will end in a cliff hanger. Parts 1,2 and 3 will rock you and shock you***

Book Blitz - Scattered Colors by Jessica Prince

Scattered Colors Book Blitz Banner

Title: Scattered Colors Author: Jessica Prince Genre: New Adult

Scattered colors     SC synopsis The use of the phrase life is hard has become so diluted, so overstated through the years that when someone hears it the words go in one ear and out the other. The impact is no longer there. The meaning, the importance of that phrase no longer holds any water with those it's spoken to. Freya Linden's life became hard at the age of seventeen, the summer before her senior year of high school. The bright colors of her life faded into black and white, a colorless shell full of loneliness. Until she met him. Parker Owens breathed life back into her world. With him she began to heal. But happiness isn't a guarantee. Sometimes opening yourself up only leads to more heartbreak. The person she thought to be her saving grace shattered her completely. Her story isn't a pretty one. The bumps in the road were monumental and infinite. But it's her story. And the one thing that holds true is this: despite the hardships, she made it through to the other side. 72603-add-to-goodreads-button

SC review Nikki's 5 Star Review

This is the first time i have read anything by Jessica Prince and I loved it. Scattered Colors is well written and the characters draw you in straight away.
Freya Linden had a great life she was doing well in school, had great friends and a loving family. One afternoon that happy family life is ripped away when her mother is killed, in the next few months her father finds it hard to cope without his wife and throws himself into work even finding it difficult to help his daughter at his tragic time as she reminds him of everything he has lost. Suddenly matters are made worse when her father decides to sell her family home and move to a small town for a fresh start.
Parker Owen is the popular guy in Freya's new school he has lots of friends and the girls are falling all over themselves for a chance with him but is home life is the complete opposite with a very depressed mom that he feels he has to care for and a violent father. A Chance meeting on a beach begins a change in both Freya and Parker's life are they just what each other need?
The path to true love is never easy and they both have lots thrown at them is the relationship they are both working hard for strong enough to survive?
This book gets a massive 5 stars from me and i will definitely be checking out other titles from Jessica.
SC author bio   Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That's why God created central air, after all. Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy--she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says. In addition to being a wife and mom, she's also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books--romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it's a passion...there's a difference. Not that she'd expect a boy to understand. Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

SYNOPSIS:

****This book contains subject matter that is suitable for adults 18 years of age and older****

A traitor lies within.

CALLIE

I met him at a basement party when we were fourteen. I was looking for an adventure, he was looking for an escape. That night, we found both and never looked back.

We traveled on a wayward path for far too long. Tommy turned to a life in the shadows. Me? A life between the sheets. All that time, I thought I was addicted to sex.
Turns out, I was just addicted to him.

We took a lot of wrong turns, met a lot of bad people on the way to the salvation we've managed to find in each others arms.

I thought when we walked away, there were no loose ends.

Turns out, I was wrong about that, too.

TOMMY

By the time she came to me, I was already a walking statistic. That night, though, something inside me sparked to life. A fate neither of us could comprehend erupted, exploded.

The second I saw her in that basement fifteen years ago, I think a part of me already knew. I took her hand and we never looked back. I gave her excitement, she gave me hope.

For over a decade, we belonged to the dark corners of the city, denying ourselves nothing in the name of lust and survival. When I finally walked away, I made a lot of enemies, but it was never about them, only her.

It's always been her.

I never regretted my choice to walk away, because it was that choice that gave me the courage to finally take her as mine and mine alone.

At first, we thought they'd let us go. For months, we thought we'd
escaped.

We were wrong.

Our past has come knocking and now, it wants us back.

Traitor is the mind blowing, epic conclusion to The Callie Leveaux Series and is full-length and multi-POV.

Taken By A Trillionaire

Synopsis

Three New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors.
One wild project.

Taken by a Trillionaire is an escapism fantasy that was born at a party at RWA. Over cocktails, J.S. Scott, Melody Anne, and Ruth Cardello laughed as they plotted this book with the help of two industry friends, Chris and Brian.

If you are looking for a historically accurate representation of a monarchy or a serious depiction of how royals maintain their bloodlines, this may not be the book for you. If you love larger than life characters and fun storylines that take you to exotic places with sexy alpha men, then welcome to our imaginary kingdom: Rubare Collina. The men are insanely rich, the traditions are potentially deadly, and the sex will leave you craving a night on this dark isle.

If you’ve ever fantasized about what it would be like to be swept off your feet—or tossed over a prince’s shoulder and taken—then you’ll enjoy our trilogy.

Novella One: Xander by Ruth Cardello

Royal Prince Xander Demande needs to choose a wife before his thirtieth birthday, or he will lose his crown. His list of potential candidates is long but shortens to one woman after a brief encounter with the socially inept, but beautiful and brilliant, Dr. Reanna Fielding. She never thought Prince Charming would come for her. He never thought any woman would melt his heart. Love makes its own rules, but will it save her when she defies not only him but the laws of his kingdom? In Rubare Collina, a marriage proposal can be a dream come true—or a death sentence.

Novella Two: Bryan by J.S. Scott

Get married . . . or die. Prince Bryan Demande was left with only two unpalatable choices. When he decides to take his chances rather than marry, his father and the busybody royal adviser take matters into their own hands.

Like it or not, Bryan is delivered a kidnapped bride, and it isn't a woman who's a total stranger. She's an American female who has haunted his dreams for the last five years, the only woman who has ever wanted him without his trillions of dollars or his royal title. Suddenly, marriage doesn't look like such a bad option to Bryan, but he'll have to convince his angry, kidnapped, bride-to-be that she belongs with him.

Novella Three: Chris by Melody Anne

Christopher Demande wants nothing to do with marriage and is willing to renounce his title to the throne to prove it. That is until he meets independent Adara Burnadette and decides he must have her. Unfortunately, Adara is opposed to marriages of convenience. So what does a young prince do when his chosen bride refuses his proposal? He kidnaps her of course.

Review Blitz - Hope House by Diana Wojdacz (Book 1)

Synopsis
When my best friend Maddie and I were in the third grade she told me a secret that changed the course of both of our lives forever.
“Sage, I don’t want to go home!” Maddie told me.
“But your mom called and said they were waiting for you? So you have to go.” I told her wondering why she was so anxious.
“But he’s there!”
“Who’s there?” I asked her.
“Uncle Bob! I don’t like him he’s creepy.”
“What do you mean creepy?”
“He makes me do things I don’t want to.” she told me.
“What does he make you do?” I asked her innocently.
“He makes me take my clothes off, and then he makes me touch him. It’s really icky!” “Maddie that’s wrong! We need to tell your mom now.” I told her taking her hand.
“We can’t. He said he’d hurt my mom and dad, and then take me away forever.”
I wasn’t quite sure what to do so I took Maddie and we went to talk with my mom. “Mom, Maddie told me something really bad, but she’s scared to tell her mom.”
“What did she tell you Sage?” my mother asked me concerned.
“She told me her Uncle Bob makes her take her clothes off and touch him. I know that’s wrong for him to do, but he told her he would hurt her mom and dad. He also told her he’d take her away forever. Can you call her mom and tell her she’s going to stay here with me?”
From that day forward, Maddie’s and my life changed. I held her hand the entire way. Through every investigation, and every court case. We are not just best friends but we are sisters for life. I found my life’s career from this experience and Maddie found hers also. Together we graduated from the University of Virginia. Maddie with a Degree in Nursing and me with a Degree in Social Work.

Nikki's 4 Star Review
This is the debut book from new author Diana Wojdacz and it was a great read. Her character's pull you in from the beginning as you meet Seth, Sage and the ten handsome young boys they care for at Hope House. It's a beautiful story of love at first sight with some hot scenes aswell, it will also have you laughing and crying as you go on this emotional journey of love. I'm excited to see where this series goes as Diana also introduces us to some strong secondary characters in this book too.

Rhys Alexander never thought her life would end up like this. She had a simple dream, to fall in love and be happy, living in fear everyday was never part of that dream. Can she break fro the life that is slowly killing her, or will she be forever trapped and wishing for it to end?

To have the future together that they both desire, Rhys will need to realise that not all men are out to hurt her, that she can't judge every man by her ex's behaviour.
That just maybe Gabe will never hurt her even though he will end up.......Leaving His Mark

Nikk's 5 Star Review

WOW!!! A fantastic read from T.A McKay. I absolutely adore Gabe and Rhys. Both these characters have troubled souls. Gabe had a violent upbringing at the hands of his farther and Rhys lived her school years in fear from violent bullies, their pasts are something that stay with them everyday leaving them both feeling they are unable to form loving relationships with anyone.
Gabe is now running his own business as a tattooist and Rhys is his receptionist are they what each other needs to finally learn how to love or is their past going to stand in their way?
This book completely drew me in and i found it hard to put down its hot and sexy but also deals with with some darker issues and has definitely left me desperately awaiting book 2 Leaving Her Mark to see what happens next in Gabe and Rhys's story.
