This debut book from Amanda Lanclos was amazing the writing and flow of the story had me from the very first page I just couldn't put it down. The main character Jameson has been through hell fighting for his country in Afghanistan seeing things no-body should have to see, after coming home due to injuries he sustained on the front line things get no easier for him with the break down of his relationship, then in walks Samantha hid childhood best friend and immediately things start to look up. Samantha has her own demons to deal with but together they can get through it.

Book 2 in the Wounded Souls series is Blake and Anna's story. We first meet Blake in book 1 when he was saved by his best friend Jameson Carter when a bomb exploded while they were serving in Afghanistan as Marines. Jameson lost both his legs and they saw the rest of their group killed. Blake feels guilty that he survived while others didn't, or were injured, he is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome but instead of getting the help he needs he turns to drink and sex with women that he doesn't even know then he meets Anna. She's Jamison's ex fiancee Mary-Beth's best friend, but when Anna's world is shook by tragedy can the pull each other back to the here and now and both get the life they deserve?
Another fantastic read by Amanda Lanclos.

I'm a massive fan of Amanda's Wounded Souls series so I was super excited to read this novella and it didn't disappoint.
Heather and Declan have been married for 10 years and have an 8 year old adopted daughter who they love more than anything. Life hasn't always been great for them and when Heather starts to feel unwell and fears the worst could some unexpected news on Christmas Eve be the blessing they've been waiting for. A short and sweet read the perfect addition to this series.
Mason Lockhart has always been the quiet one, the one who never let his emotions show. It was better to be that way when you moved around from foster home to foster home. When he finally found a place he fit in, he was frightened it would all disappear. As if he would awaken from a dream and realize he was still living the nightmare. So I have to say that out of all the books in this fabulous series Mason and Kate's story is my favourite and I feel it's the most emotional too.
Mason hasn't had an easy life he's been separated from his sister and bounced around from one foster family to the next until he found a home where someone loved him but he still felt it could all be taken away from him that is until he lays eyes on Kate.
Kate had the perfect life she was married to her childhood sweetheart and they had a beautiful little boy to complete their family, that is until the dreaded knock at the door that every military wife hopes will never happen and suddenly everything she knows is taken away from her.
Four years later Mason blows into her life like a whirlwind but is she really ready to move on, can Mason persuade her that with him by her side she can once again be happy and in love.
