Add their close friend, Rick Fars, another 'Rock God' into the equation, and it was easy to see how difficult it was to maintain any kind of friendships without the media tagging along looking for the latest scoop. These days one never seemed to be mentioned without the other. However, a rare window of opportunity in all of their schedules arose and so did Alfie's desire. With Christmas only two weeks away and eight days of downtime, Alfie seized it with both hands. Three rockers, alcohol, a cabin in the snow, and time on their hands, how does that go down?

I'm so pleased that K L Shandwick gave us some more Alfie Black in this novella it was a short but fabulous read.

Alfie wants to do something special for Lily for the few days they have together over christmas so with so with some help he secretly arranges a few days away for himself, Lily, Jack, Mya and the whole gang even Rick joins in on the fun.

I loved how this book tied up the loose ends of The Everything Series and beautifully concluded Alfie and Lily's story.

BIOGRAPHY

Writing came relatively later in life for me after a challenge by a friend led to The Everything Trilogy. I love creating new characters and story lines. Writing is a form of escapism from my day job, which can be difficult at times. I have worked in the health and social care sector for most of my adult life, so to have the opportunity to step out of this serious role and create colourful characters is very rewarding. I enjoy where they take me and each character has his or her own voice. I don't use prepared outlines for my stories preferring the characters to take their own direction as the story progresses.

Jack smirked knowingly at me and shrugged his shoulders. “You’ve never done this before, Alfie? Being a rock star must give you an incredible buzz, but you know what you’re getting each time you step out on that stage, right? All those horny women and frenzied male rock fans who adore you. Wait until you feel the buzz from this, I guarantee you it’s something else. With Mother Nature on the stage, you never know what you’re getting, so you need to be ready to adjust and be resourceful to keep yourself and everyone around you safe on the slope.”
