BLOG TOUR - Hard As You Can

Five dishonored soldiers.
Former Special Forces.
One last mission.
These are the men of Hard Ink.

Ever since hard-bodied, drop-dead-charming Shane McCallan strolled into the dance club where Crystal Dean works, he's shown a knack for getting beneath her defenses. For her little sister's sake, Crystal can't get too close. Until her job and Shane's mission intersect, and he reveals talents that go deeper than she could have guessed.

Shane would never turn his back on a friend in need, especially a former Special Forces teammate running a dangerous, off-the-books operation. Nor can he walk away from Crystal. The gorgeous waitress is hiding secrets she doesn't want him to uncover. Too bad. He's exactly the man she needs to protect her sister, her life, and her heart. All he has to do is convince her that when something feels this good, you hold on as hard as you can--and never let go.

JENNIFERS  REVIEW

Ok so I have been waiting for this book ever since I finished the first book in the Hard Ink series and OMG this book did not disappoint!!!  First off I will say that you need to have read the first book in the series before reading this one or you are going to be completely lost and really missing out on a lot of very important information.  This book picks up immediately where the first one left off and I really loved that fact.  I hate when books in a series skips lots of time when they go from one book to the next.  Before I started reading this book I was not really a fan of Shane.  I just did not feel like I was able to connect with him in the first book, but this book more than made up for that.  I am now 100% team Shane!!!  The man is former Special Forces, has Southern charm, is hot as hell, and respects women…… what’s not to love!?!?!?!?!!  Crystal is a very strong woman who is working in a hell hole to pay off a debt that is not even hers so that she can take care of her sister who is sick.  This woman has been through hell and back but did she let it make her bitter?  No, she pushed on because she knew that there was no one else to take care of her sister.  I just wanted to reach out and hug her and tell her that it was all gonna be ok, that she didn’t have to be strong for everyone; she just needed someone to be strong for her too.  I loved how Shane was so determined to take care of Crystal and be there for her after seeing her that first night even though he was working through his own demons.  There were enough sparks flying between Crystal and Shane to start a forest fire!  This book was packed full of action and TONS of emotion.  I was really happy to see all of the other characters make their appearances in this book too.  I just love Jeremy and his crazy t—shirts!!  I am also looking forward to the next book, which will be about Easy.  I also learned a new phrase while reading this book that I am just waiting for my chance to use- swass and swalls (sweaty ass and sweaty balls) I have no clue what situation is going to allow me to use the phrase but I know if I do get to use it I will definitely be thinking about this book.  :)  I give this book 5 stars and can’t wait for the next one!!!!!
