About Between the Pages:

At twenty-six years old, Finley Matthews is done writing for other people as a ghostwriter.* She's tired of seeing her work with someone else's name slapped on the cover. She wants to make a name for herself, even if it means starting from scratch. But when she runs into the mysterious novelist Emerson Whittaker twice in twelve hours, and he convinces her to take on one final ghostwriting project in return for good money and a promising meeting with his literary agency upon completion of the project, she accepts whole-heartedly. This could be her way into the daunting literary world. Besides, what could possibly go wrong? Soon, Finley finds herself captivated by the enigmatic and attractive Emerson. And there's something about Finley that Emerson can't ignore, either. They soon find themselves helping and needing each other in more ways than one, and eventually, they fall in love between the pages of Emerson's book. As the months continue, Finley works with Emerson to get his story on paper. She begins to uncover things about him she wishes she never knew; piecing together Emerson’s past, one chapter at a time—a past with a secret even she can't ignore. A passionate tale of friendship, romance, and betrayal, Between the Pages will immerse readers in the provocative world of Finley and Emerson from the very first page.

Nikki's 5 Star Review
I hadn't read anything before by this author but I really enjoyed this story and I will definitely be reading more in the future.

Finley Matthews has decided its time she gave up ghostwriting and pursued her own writing career but after been asked to ghostwrite one final time for Emerson Whittaker a writer that she truely admires and the promise of a meeting with his literary agent she accepts.
There is a great chemistry between them and soon they find themselves falling for each other. But Emerson has a secret and its one that will will throw their relationship into a tailspin, will Finley ever be able to forgive Emerson and find the happiness she deserves.

I found this book to have a great flow and it gave a great insight into the characters lives it was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster at times with a great twist to the story that I didn't see coming.

Exclusive Excerpt:

I did it. I just blurted it out in the middle of the most intense moment we’ve ever had, and now he’s looking at me like I stabbed him in the ribs with a hidden knife. Betrayal. But what does he expect? We’re seconds away from kissing. I think we both know that if we’re alone in that immense, dark house, the inevitable will happen. So what? my subconscious asks, making me rethink everything. So what? So fucking what? I reach out and place my hand around the back of his neck, pulling him down to my lips. He lets me. As soon as our lips connect, my body collapses against his fully. He supports me by wrapping one arm around my waist, and the other drops to his side. I feel my insides tighten, constricting blood flow to my brain. All I want are his lips. And when his tongue parts them, I moan. His herbal cologne makes me moan. He makes me moan. Sensory overload. I grab a fistful of his hair and pull his body impossibly close with my other hand. He’s warm and hard, and I love everything about it. His tongue continues to swirl in my mouth, and with every flick, I push myself harder against him. He lowers his hand and cups my ass, and then I cry out as he grinds into me once. Jesus. “Finley,” he rasps. “We need to stop. Otherwise, I’m going to fuck you against this wall.” Fuck. I’m not sure what to say. Does he expect me to stop because he said that? Doesn’t he understand how much I want this? “So?” I ask, my voice pleading. He drops his hands and takes a step back. My heart cracks as he runs his hand through his hair and looks away. “So?” he answers, glaring at me. “Do you think you deserve a quick fuck against the wall of a bathroom in a dive bar? Is that really what you want? From me?” His voice breaks on the last word. I whimper. “I want you,” I plead, reaching out for him. Every part of my body is screaming for him. “But I need you, Finley.”
