We see a little more into Tommy's past and his family life so when his past catches up with him it can't be good. Believe me this is one HOT read and you will be wishing you had a doctor like Tommy in your life this has another of Kate's famous cliffehangers and I need the next book nowwww.

This is the second m/m romance from Nicola Haken (Being Sawyer Knight) and it was a fab read. Ryder Richardson is flying high as a gay porn star he feels his life is going good at the minute, that is until in walks Mason George for an audition at the studio. Right away Mason stirs up feelings that Ryder didnt even know existed. Ryder is dealing with a lot of demons from his past related to his family life but is Mason finally someone that Ryder will be able to confide in and finally move on from his past or is that past about to come back and haunt him. I really felt for Ryder in this book he bottles things up using alcohol and self harming to release the pain rather than confiding in the people that love him. I enjoyed been able to catch up with Sawyer, Jake, Elle and Kip aswell and can't wait to read Matt's book next.

Nikki's 5 Star Review

The Lost One is a great debut novel from Liz Lovelock. This book had me gripped from the first page. 

Melodi is a sassy confident young women who moves to New York to fulfill a dream her and her late twin sister Abby had. Abby is missing, presumed dead at the hands of her abusive ex boyfriend Jacob. On a night out Melodi bumps into (literally) Corban who later turns out to be her sexy new boss and things quickly progress into a relationship for them. When someone from Melodi's past suddenly reappears her world is shattered, is Corban's love for her enough  to pull her through her nightmare.

You are left with a cliffehanger at the end of this book but I didn't mind that and I can't wait to see where the story goes in book 2. 

Excerpt

A huge playful smile swipes across his face, which sets my chest racing. “I’m sure you will be fine. Anyway, Melodi, I would love to stay and get to know you a little better, but unfortunately, I have a meeting in about twenty minutes, which I probably shouldn’t be late for.” He reaches his hand out like he is about to shake my hand. You’re seriously not just going to shake my hand!

Surprising me for the second time, he takes my hand, placing a gentle kiss across my knuckles, and then pulls me close, pressing his lips to mine. I taste him; boy, he tastes good. It’s nothing like our kiss the other night. This is more…more sensual.

Savouring the moment, until his cologne drifting around me drives me crazy, igniting a raging fire within me. My arms wrap around his neck, pulling him closer to me. Our kiss becomes more heated.

I remember we are standing in the middle of the footpath when a car goes past blasting its horn. I’m not sure if it’s at us or something else. I slowly pull away, placing one more gentle kiss to his warm lips. Mine already ache from the loss. We stay where we are, holding each other, neither of us wanting to move.

His eyes blaze brighter; I can even see a sparkle. Leaning into me, he whispers, “Until next time, my sweet Melodi.” Feeling his breath on my cheek sends goose bumps over my entire body.

Liz is from bright sunny Queensland, Australia. She has always been a reader. When she was little she would be up late reading Garfield and Asterix comic books and also Footrot Flats. When she hit high school she read Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden and from there her love of books continued to grow.
